XX series – A3 Limited Edition Giclée Print
Inspiration
I always look for new ways to celebrate women.
In the current climate of women erasure, any man can declare himself a woman, be believed and be accorded all the rights women fought for, for centuries, all while destroying our rights to self-definition.
Taking inspiration from science and reality, I chose to represent the female chromosome symbol XX.
XX as a sex-determination system, has been used by feminists for many years.
I used pictures of my own hands to create female-centred signs: XX, the vulva symbol and the ovary symbol. All of which are exclusive parts of the female anatomy.
Contrary to what patriarchal queer ideology repeats, only women have XX chromosomes, a vulva and ovaries. We have been oppressed for centuries because of our female biology and what our bodies can do.
this piece is a way to reclaim and take pride in the reality of our anatomy.
Creative Process
This highest quality giclée fine art print has been accurately reproduced from the original artwork created in winter 2022 in my studio in West Wales. It has been printed onto Hahnemühle German Etching 310gsm A3 paper.

XX series is a set of 3 Giclée prints: Red, Black and White.
They are available in A3 size. Width = 29.7cm Height = 42cm.
Limited Edition of 10
All giclée fine art prints will arrive numbered, hand-stamped and signed on reverse by me.
